Pipeline maintenance: stop bad smells!

Unpleasant odors come up from the pipes in your bathroom, kitchen, or laundry room? However, you have everything you need as household products for the maintenance of your pipes! Try any of these 5 natural methods and say goodbye to bad smells.

White vinegar


To deodorize your water features quickly, maintain your pipes with white vinegar. Pour a large glass of vinegar into sinks, tubs, showers, or bidets. Leave to act for a few hours then rinse with boiling water.


Grandma's tip: fill an ice cube tray with white vinegar, which you put in the freezer. Each month, place an ice cube in each drain.


Baking soda


Pour a tablespoon of baking soda, a tablespoon of coarse salt and two tablespoons of white vinegar into the pipes. Leave to act for a few hours then add a liter of boiling water. Bad smells will be neutralized!



Coffee grounds



Notice to coffee drinkers: no longer throw the marc in the trash, recycle it and throw it in your drains. The abrasive properties of coffee scour the impurities embedded in the conduits and can even unclog a sink or unclog your pipes. Leave on for a few hours. Result: no more bad smells!



Good to know: however, be careful not to throw the grounds more than once a week in your pipes, at the risk of creating a plug.
